3rd Grade February Newsletter
Love is in the air! Please work with your child at home on their Valentine’s box for the classroom contest. We will be having a breakfast celebration for our party. If you have signed up for a snack or beverage, plan for a breakfast menu please. We would like to invite parents to join us to snuggle up and read. We will have an extra sign up sheet for those who would like to donate a breakfast item.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Be on the lookout for conference notes that will get sent home early this month. The note will have the time of your meeting. We will try to keep all siblings one right after the other. The conferences will be held on Tuesday, Feb 16th from 3:30-7:00 and on Thursday, Feb 18th from 8:00am-7:00pm. We are looking forward to share all of the wonderful things your child has accomplished so far.

We hope you all had a wonderful winter break!
There are many fun things coming up this month.
We are working on many new things this month. In writing, we finishing up our country informational paper and will begin opinion writing. In math, we are starting a big area unit. Students will be learning how to find the area of a rectangle. We are all exploring new stories and poems in reading and learning about notable people.

3rd Grade November Newsletter
We can’t believe it’s November already! Did you know there are only 4 school Fridays left until Christmas Break. Time flies fast!
Every year, third graders write a paper on How To Bake A Turkey. This is a sequencing writing activity that teaches them how to write a technical piece. After writing, we will be baking a turkey here at the school, and enjoying a feast as a classroom family. This will be held on Nov 24th. We will be asking parents to donate sides for this event. Please be looking for a note about this in the future. Thx!
American Education Week Nov 16-20: there will be an extra sheet sent home that will have the dress up days on it.
